Mardi Gras Indians, Fall, and the Art of Gaman
At the Museum of the National Center of Afro-American Artists, painter Robert Freeman and photographer Max Stern bring the colorful world of the Mardi Gras Indians to Roxbury. We accompany Freeman to his studio to observe his process. Then, playwright Bernie Weinraub and director Peter DuBois sit down to discuss “Fall,” an original play presented by the Huntington Theatre Company. Plus, an exhibition highlighting the artwork of Japanese-Americans who lived in internment camps during World War II.
