"I like the interactives...giving [students] a chance to get some feedback, try again if they don't get it right, it builds confidence." -Donise McFall, Middle School Social Studies and English, New Windsor, NY |

"[Students] know media so well, so what better way to use what they know but to use substantive and important resources."

Events
Our session: Bringing the Science: Teaching with Authentic Data March 8, 11 am Room 17B Austin Convention Center. Quality media tools and resources needed for learners to engage in scientific practices such as analyzing and interpreting data and computer models are rarely produced for K-12 instructional use, or designed for diverse learners. WGBH has been working in collaboration with NASA and teachers across the country to develop learning resources that incorporate authentic data, and tools and supports needed for learners to work with data and computer models. We'll share insights and best practices. |
